Sculpting Tutorial

By Heiner Stiller and Sandro Wojcik

Sculpting in its traditional form is the art of chiseling objects from, among other materials, stone, or shaping objects using clay or other kneadable materials. If the Sculpting features in Cinema 4D are viewed in this context it’s quickly recognizable why the term Sculpting was chosen for this modeling technique. A 3D object is turned into a virtual kneadable material that can be shaped using the Sculpt tools.

In this tutorial we will explain the Sculpting functions and how to use them. Towards the end of the chapter you should have a final sculpted object that is baked for use in other Projects.

Tip:
Note that Sculpting is available only in Cinema 4D Studio or BodyPaint 3D R14 or later.
