Modifiers also affect other elements
Force objects not only affect particles but these elements as well:
- HAIR: Hair Object Forces field, Rope tag's Forces field.
- The Simulationssystem with regard to Cloth, splines and Soft Bodies.
- Pyro simulations (not all Force objects are compatible)
- MoGraph: On the MoSpline in the Fields field and Bullet Dynamics in the Rigid Body tag (in the Force List).
- Bullet Dynamics: on Rigid and Soft Bodies
Imagine points instead of particles that are influenced by the modifiers. These points are Guide points (HAIR), Spline points (, Rope tag, MoSpline) or object points (Cloth). When combined with Pyro simulations, the Voxels (for the Destructor Force object) or velocities within a cloud will be affected. Note that not all modifiers can be used effectively outside of a particle system. For example, Deflector and Destructor objects will function only in a limited fashion if at all. However, Wind, Turbulence and Rotation objects will always work.
Tip:Several Force object settings have no function in some circumstances, e.g., the Mode setting will be ignored for cloth simulations.
