Spline Field Layer
A Spline Effector is primarily used to arrange objects along a spline and a Spline Field Layer is used to spatially define an effect. This can, for example, be a tube around a spline, a spline projected around a specific axis as a volume or a creeping motion effect along a spline.
Splines can either:
- be selected when a Spline object is called up in the Viewport or Object Manager
- or dragged and dropped directly into the Field list
The spline names will be assumed in the Field list. The Spline object name will not be displayed with its name in the Field list.
Tip:Don't forget that spline generators such as Hair objects (that can generate splines) can be used: they can, for example, then be brushed interactively in a specific direction.
