Correction Deformer

This deformer allows you to edit objects deformed by other deformers, i.e. the deformer gives you access to object points in their deformed position, which can be edited accordingly.

Here is an example of moving points with and without a Correction Deformer.

In principle, the deformer can also be seen as an additional geometry layer to correct a mesh in a recoverable way by repositioning points at will (similar to the Pose Morph Tag).

Another purpose is to access the geometry of parametric objects without making them editable. You can therefore combine the flexibility of parametric objects with precise editing at point level.

A powerful functionality that also allows you to edit parametric objects using Pose Morph and other tools that work at point level.

The Deformer can also be combined with Subdivision Surfaces, which allows you to edit subdivided objects at subdivision level.

Note:Please note that the Correction Deformer must be placed below other deformers in the hierarchy, otherwise it will not work (the object would appear undeformed because its state would be calculated before the other deformers).

Example

Processing of a primitive object cylinder deformed by several deformers at point level. In addition, a Linear Field that moves back and forth animates the effect of the Correction Deformer.
