# Record Current State

This setting affects selected tracks **Dope Sheet mode** and selected F-Curves **F-Curve mode** and creates a key for all selected items at the current time in the animation. Key values from neighboring keys will not be interpolated as with **Add Key At**. Instead, they will be calculated based on the object's current editor state. This can cause the F-Curve to be modified (contrary to the previously described command)
