# Gamma Correction

Use this filter to correct a texture's gamma values, contrast and brightness.

> **Tip:** Note:Changing the gamma value will brighten or darken only the mid-tone areas without noticeably influencing light and dark areas. This means that black areas will remain black and white areas white.
