It is well suited for generative layouts such as city blocks, circuit-board patterns or abstract panel designs, where clones should fill irregularly subdivided rectangular areas. This distribution can be loaded directly via the **Browse** button of a [Cloner object](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/OMOGRAPH_CLONER.html.md) if the *Cloner* object uses the *Advanced* mode. This distribution is based on the [Partition Modifier](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/COM_ROCKETLASSO_NEUTRON_ASSET_MODIFIER_PARTITION.html.md) and its subdivision of a rectangular area. The resulting individual surfaces are used to place and scale the cloned objects. ![Image: 2026-0_Distribution_Partition_01.png](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/2026-0_Distribution_Partition_01.png)\ The Partition Distribution is based on the random subdivision of a plane (shown as an example on the left). The newly created areas within this plane are evaluated for the placement and scaling of the clones (right in the image).
