The values for the diagrams can be entered directly or randomly, or they can be taken from a Noise structure or a Spline Graph. ### Input Parameter ID: `QGCEZMREGHZMK73VF_UWOA` Here you can define the source for the data that should be used for the diagram. The following options are available: - **Manual**: The values for the diagram can be defined individually directly on the Node. Use the **Append** and **Clamp** buttons to define the required number of inputs for your data. Each data set consists of two numeric values. The first value defines the width, e.g., of a bar, and the second the height. Note that all values will be evaluated as a percentage and not as an absolute value. The actual height and width of a bar or pie section in the diagram will be calculated relative to the values defined in the Node's Graph settings. - **Noise**: The values are taken from a noise pattern. - **Random**: The diagram uses random values. - **Spline**: The value progression of the diagram can be defined with a spline graph. ### Noise Parameter ID: `INPORT_SYAYQULJFXWOANWPL1W9BZ` The pattern algorithm is selected here for the **Input** *noise*. Here you will find the same structures that, for example, you will find with a Noise shader. ### Seed Parameter ID: `ERUGTPFQGLMGKULGUY16MR` · Range: [0..99999999] This can be used to set the start value for the *Noise* and *Random* **input modes**. A new **Seed value** results in a recalculation of the random or noise values. ![Image: subgroup.gif](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/subgroup.gif)\ Vertical This section contains settings that can be used to trim, animate or change the defined value of the Noise. ### Noise Scale Parameter ID: `WISK2MC6FPLGMC1N36R_SS` · Range: [0.00..+∞] This sets the scaling of the noise structure for the *Noise* **input mode**. The greater the value, the more harmonious the transitions will be between the measured values. Lesser values will result in correspondingly greater differences between measured values. ### Octaves Parameter ID: `TSIYIB_NKNLMNXBT1LWMMY` · Range: [0.00..+∞] This can be used to control the computational accuracy of the noise structure. Lesser values will reduce the contrast in the noise accordingly and the values will become increasingly similar. Greater values will produce correspondingly more detail in the evaluated noise structure. ### Speed Parameter ID: `YNKRKAJZO5NUGXVHIWYDEQ` · Range: [0..+∞%] The evaluated noise structure can also be animated, which then also results in an animated diagram. Here you can assign the geometry on whose surface the distribution should be calculated. ### Loop Frame Parameter ID: `GWD2OC_CKP4SYYUZWPSZTB` · Range: [-∞..+∞] If you want to use an animated noise structure, you can enter here the number of animation frames after which the animation should repeat automatically. This way you can, for example, create an animated diagram using a value of 25, which will repeat the same animation sequence after 25 frames. ### Offset Parameter ID: `FA0HPIT2NBXO3WFCCLCLKA` · Range: [-∞..+∞m] The calculation of data from a noise structure is performed from a starting point along the width of the noise pattern. This offset moves the start point for the value extraction from the noise structure. This value can, for example, be animated using keyframes to create a lateral animation of the values. If you want a uniform movement of the start point for the value extraction Can you also use the following **Speed value** instead? ### Speed Parameter ID: `WS7BMXIEBVJPY0WMBFSDNX` · Range: [-∞..+∞%] This can be used to simulate an automatic animation of the **Offset** for the value extraction from the noise structure. Values greater than 0% will move the value to the right edge of the diagram during the animation. For negative values, the **Offset** is automatically shifted to the left edge of the diagram during the animation. ### Quantize Parameter ID: `EMEEBR__IBNOR2VCJ0X9CD` Without **Quantize**, the measured values are softly shifted within the noise structure. In this case, the offset movement is dependent on the number of measurements/bars. If **the Quantize option** is active, the **Offset** is automatically shifted in fixed steps, the size of which depends on the number of bars in the diagram, for example. ### Min Parameter ID: `TVZ7T9BUP1NSUUTR69PG2L` · Range: [-∞..+∞%] ### Max Parameter ID: `Z5_N_IM_KFSQZ1US3XMSZH` · Range: [-∞..+∞%] These values can be used to modify the output of the measured values. A reduction of **Max** below 100% leads to a shortening of the bars in the diagram, for example. Increasing the **Min value** above 0%, on the other hand, increases the length of the shorter bars. Since negative values can also be defined here, the length of all bars or pie sections can be defined individually within the defined values. ### Shift Parameter ID: `NF3MLAVYIBOUOESK4M_BQM` · Range: [-∞..+∞%] This value is added to all measurement results that are evaluated for the generation of the diagram. Negative values will reduce the length of all bars or the radius of the entire pie chart. ### Bias Parameter ID: `MEUV1DHOADDVCUB3BDHRJH` · Range: [-∞..+∞%] This can be used to amplify or mitigate the difference between the displayed measurement results. A **Bias** above 0% leads to an increase in the differences between the measurement results. With negative **Bias values**, the differences between the measurement results become smaller and smaller. ![Image: subgroup.gif](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/subgroup.gif)\ Horizontal In this section you will find settings that allow you to adjust the lateral distance between the measured values. If these settings are not used, all bars or pie sections will otherwise always have equal widths (unless you define different widths using manually defined measurement results). ### Variation Parameter ID: `U026S_HHMDSKPLDSSPN_PV` · Range: [-∞..+∞%] Percentage variation for the width of the measurement results. The maximum intensity of the lateral variation will also be defined by the following values. ### Noise Scale Parameter ID: `BEXGJRACBR_ODYLEMVL1TB` · Range: [0.00..+∞] The variation is also based on a noise structure that can be customized in size. Larger values will result in a correspondingly more harmonious transition between neighboring measurement results. ### Octaves Parameter ID: `O1Q_OUILBTGT84IVEYJLUD` · Range: [0.00..+∞] Defines the level of detail of the noise structure. Larger values will produce correspondingly more detail in the noise, smaller values will reduce the contrast in the noise and can, in extreme cases, greatly reduce the lateral variation. ### Speed Parameter ID: `JT4BH2CPEHTSFFCAGKXNNI` · Range: [0..+∞%] With values above 0% there is an automatic animation of the noise structure and thus an animated variation of the widths of the measured values in the diagram. ### Loop Frame Parameter ID: `F3FPGMBXMLKJQZNAGI9GVV` · Range: [-∞..+∞] If you want to repeat the animation of the measured value width at fixed intervals, enter the number of animation images after which the animation cycle should be repeated here. A **Speed** above 0% must be used in all cases. ![Image: subgroup.gif](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/subgroup.gif)\ Vertical ### Spline Parameter ID: `INPORT_D14UMUUJMFENAIVRGDCILX` If you are using the *Spline* **input mode**, you can create the desired spline curve here. Additional points can be added via **Ctrl** + click on the curve. Points can be grabbed and moved. If a point is clicked on, a tangent will be displayed that can also be scaled or rotated using the mouse. Excess points can be selected by clicking on them and deleted again by pressing the **Del key**. ![Image: subgroup.gif](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/subgroup.gif)\ Settings ### Tension Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_TENSION` · Range: [0..100%] This can be used to softly mix between a Bezier spline and a B-spline. For a span of 100%, the curve will run exactly through the points and the tangents at the points will shape the curve shape between the points. For a span of 0%, the tangents will lose their purpose and the curve will oscillate between the points without necessarily running through the points. ### Min Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_MIN` · Range: [XYZ ] ### Max Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_MAX` · Range: [XYZ ] Here you define the minima and maxima of the value range on the graph. Normally, **Min** describes the X and Y coordinates of the lower left-hand corner point on the spline graph and **Max** the X and Y coordinates of the upper right-hand corner point. ### Link End Tangents Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_LINKENDTANGENTS` This option synchronizes the tangents at the first and last points of the curve so that a harmonic connection is created between the ends of the spline curve. This can be helpful, for example, if you want to move the data evaluation of the curve with the **Offset value** sideways or animate it. ### Link End Positions Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_LINKENDPOSITIONS` This option synchronizes the Y coordinates of the first and the last point on the curve. As already described for the **Connect Tangent Ends** option, this can be helpful to guarantee harmonious transitions when **shifting** the offset of the spline curve. ![Image: subgroup.gif](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/subgroup.gif)\ Selected Objects ### Position X Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_POSITIONX` · Range: [-∞..+∞] ### Position Y Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_POSITIONY` · Range: [-∞..+∞] If you want to define the exact position of a selected point on the curve, you can enter the X and Y coordinates of the point directly here. ### Lock X Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_LOCKX` ### Lock Y Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_LOCKY` These options can be used to lock the position of a selected point to prevent unintended movement in the X or Y direction. ### Interpolation Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_INTERPOLATION` Details about using the color gradient can be found under [Color Gradient in Nodes](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/5822.html.md). ### Tangent Left Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_TANGENTLEFT` · Range: [XYZ ] ### Tangent Right Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_TANGENTRIGHT` · Range: [XYZ ] Allows you to define the length and slope separately for the left and right tangents of a selected spline point. Tangents can also be edited directly with the mouse in spline graphs by dragging their end points. ### Break Tangent Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_BREAKTANGENT` When this option is selected, the left and right tangents of a selected point can be rotated and scaled independently. This can also be done automatically if the `Shift key` is held down while manipulating a tangent on the spline graph with the mouse. Broken tangents can also be "repaired" again if the **Break Tangents option** is switched off. ### Keep Visual Angle Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_KEEPVISUALANGLE` If there is already a broken tangent at the selected point, activating this option will fix the angle between the left and right tangents. If a tangent is then rotate, the other tangents will rotate to the same degree. The length of the tangents can still be defined individually for both sides. ### Lock Angle Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_LOCKANGLE` The tangents at a selected point can no longer be changed in direction. Only the length of the tangents is still freely selectable. ### Lock Length Parameter ID: `VARIADIC_PROPS_LOCKLENGTH` The length of the tangents at a selected point can no longer be edited. Only the tangent's direction can be modified. ### Offset Parameter ID: `KFPTGV03CBMTD7NXUK7KWA` · Range: [-∞..+∞%] This allows the spline curve to be shifted horizontally for evaluation. This movement is not visible in the Spline Graph itself. ### Speed Parameter ID: `HFDCH6IGJH5LBOKPF1IDLC` · Range: [-∞..+∞%] If the lateral displacement of the spline curve is to be animated automatically for the calculation of the measured values, you can enter a velocity for it here. For positive values, the curve is shifted continuously to the right, for negative values continuously to the left. ![Image: subgroup.gif](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/subgroup.gif)\ Horizontal ### Spline Parameter ID: `SPLINE_BKOCZAXMCFNRFM53DRDCAR` The width of the data sets can be adjusted via this spline curve. The deeper the curve runs, the more narrow the bars or pie sections will become. Only the tangent's direction can be modified. ### Variation Parameter ID: `TZV_RFWGDRBVOLDSS0MBMJ` · Range: [0..+∞%] This percentage value represents a multiplier for the changes to the width of the data sets. With a **Variation** of 0%, you will always receive the standard width of the data records. The effect of the spline curve or the evaluation of Noise structures will be disabled. With a **Variation** of 100% you get the full effect of the horizontal changes.
