# Field Remapper

> This page describes the **Field Remapper layer** in **Cinema 4D**. Placed in a Field list, it reshapes the values of the layers beneath it — central remapping without editing each Field individually.

The **Field Remapper** is not a separate object. It lends its settings to other objects in a Field list as a Layer (see also [Other Objects](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/58725.html.md)).
