The following Phase values should serve as a reference:" --- ## Vector Motion Blur ### Phase Parameter ID: `MBLUR_PHASE` · Range: [-100..100%] ![Image: 004154.jpg](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/004154.jpg)\ From left to right: Phase values of 100%, 0% and -100%. The Phase value defines the position of the blur. The following Phase values should serve as a reference: - -100%: behind the object. - 0%: the same length on both sides of the object. - 100%: in front of the object (the blur moves ahead). ### Density Parameter ID: `MBLUR_DENSITY` · Range: [0..10000%] ![Image: 004155.jpg](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/004155.jpg)\ Density set to a low value (left) and high value (right). The Density value defines the coverage of the blur in the image. ### Samples Parameter ID: `MBLUR_SAMPLES` · Range: [2..1000] ![Image: 004156.jpg](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/004156.jpg)\ Samples set to a low value (left) and high value (right). Samples allow you to set the resolution or smoothness of the blur. Low values result in a grainy look, while more samples increase both the quality and the render time. ### Sample Radius Parameter ID: `MBLUR_BLUR` · Range: [0.00..10.00] ![Image: 004157.jpg](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/004157.jpg)\ Sample Radius set to a low value (left) and high value (right). The higher the Sample Radius, the less crisp the blur will look. ### Weighted Trails Parameter ID: `MBLUR_TRAILS` ![Image: 004158.jpg](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/004158.jpg)\ Weighted Trails disabled (top) and enabled (bottom). The Weighted Trails option uses a different algorithm that allows the trails to fade out towards the end, resulting in a realistic trail. ### Geometry Deformation Parameter ID: `MBLUR_MESHTRACK` Enable this option to also blur Deformer objects such as FFDs. > **Tip:** Tip:You can achieve very good motion blur results if you combine VMB and Sub-Frame Motion Blur (**SFMB**). Select small factors for SFMB (**5 Times**) and set the **Shutter Angle** to 360° or more. VMB will always affect the SFMB.
