# Thinking Particles

> This page documents the **Thinking Particles distribution node** of the Scene Nodes system in **Cinema 4D**. It interprets a TP particle group as an animated distribution — including velocities and directions — connecting TP to node-based cloning.

Using this node, a particle group of the Thinking Particles system can be interpreted as an animated distribution. In addition to the position of the particles, their velocities and directions can also be evaluated.

Thinking Particles can be activated as a separate node or as a mode within a **Distribution Op** node.
