It gives full control over building distributions — loops, index/color/matrix arrays and container composition are handled explicitly. With this Node you have full control over creating your own distributions. You have to take care of loop processing, filling the arrays, e.g., for indices, colors and matrices and combining the arrays with a [Compose Container](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/NET_MAXON_NODE_COMPOSECONTAINER.html.md) Node. The calculation of the distribution is done within the Node, which can be opened like a group. If you need more support in creating your own distributions or it's about simpler distribution calculations, have a look at the [Distribution Function Node](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/NET_MAXON_NEUTRON_GROUP_DISTRIBUTION_FUNCTION.html.md) as an alternative. ![Image: 045789.jpg](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/045789.jpg)\ Here, as an example, a classic spline curve was sampled and uniformly assigned matrices. This distribution can then be used to place objects as usual.
