It is the group shell for modeling and selection sequences that act on existing geometry — the basis for custom modeling capsules. This Node provides a group function for Nodes that work with the geometry of a given shape. This includes, for example, the selection functions and the various modeling commands. In this way, complex sequences of modeling commands or even self-calculated functions that deform a geometry, for example, can be combined. In this context, the combination with the *Point Modifier Node* makes particular sense, as it greatly simplifies the modification of colors, weightings, normals or point positions of an assigned geometry. You can find examples [here](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/80721.html.md) and [here](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/NET_MAXON_NEUTRON_MODELING_MODIFIER_BASE-NET_MAXON_NODE_BASE_GROUP_INPUTS.html.md). Additional required inputs to the group can be added via the *Resource Editor* or, for example, after right-clicking on the group and selecting *Add Input* > Add *New* Input. New inputs can also be created via the *User Interface group* in the *Asset Browser*. Examples of the use of *User Interface elements* can be found [on this page](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/NodeAsset_User_Interface.html.md) of the documentation.
