It combines extrude, sweep, loft and lathe on lines and splines in one asset — the compact all-in-one for curve-to-surface conversion. This Node creates meshes from lines or splines. This includes the options to extrude, to sweep, to loft and to lathe. These functions are also available as independent Nodes in the “Geometry Modifier” group. The main difference here is, that “Line To Mesh” already provides an “Op Output”, so no additional “Geometry Op” Node is needed to display the resulting mesh. In addition, on the input page you will find directly the possibility to define a matrix with which the resulting object can be placed, rotated or scaled. ![Image: R25_LineToMesh.jpg](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/R25_LineToMesh.jpg)\ The Node offers all typical spline generators and can process line geometry as well as spline geometry, provided it has been made available via an Op Output. In this example, edges were extracted from a plane and are converted to a spline for extrusion. The lower branch of the setup shows the extrusion of a spline by the Extrude Line Node.
