It scales a flat matrix grid by fractal math into the classic Mandelbrot pattern — mathematical ornamentation as a clone arrangement. This Node uses a two-dimensional, square grid made up of matrices as a base. Fractal calculations will be used to scale these matrices differently, which produces a typical Mandelbrot Fractal. The available settings are very similar to those of the Mandelbrot distribution. Otherwise you will find the same distribution functionality as an option in the [Distribution Op](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/NET_MAXON_NEUTRON_OP_DISTRIBUTION.html.md) Node. ![Image: 044867.jpg](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/044867.jpg)\ This common, fractal distribution function can be used to define the complexity and the size transition at the edge of the structure.
