Groups manage particles and scope Conditions, Forces and Modifiers to their members — plus rendering control via a Redshift Object tag — the organizing backbone of every particle setup. This object manages the particles and can be used to restrict Conditions, Forces and Modifiers to the particles contained in the group. It can often be helpful to add a [Redshift Object tag](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/TRSOBJECT.html.md) to particle groups, e.g., to be able to directly select a display format for the rendering of the particles. [Here you will](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/OFP_Groups_Main.html.md) find an overview of the use of particle groups within the simulation.\ You can find a comprehensive introduction to the possibilities and mode of operation of the new particle system (from version 2024.4) [on this page](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/Particles_Introduction.html.md).
