It generates configurable plants with growth, age and season variants plus adjustable detail levels — parametric vegetation instead of static models. ![Image: 2025-2_Laubwerk_01.png](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/2025-2_Laubwerk_01.png)\ Natural grasses, flowers, bushes, palm trees, deciduous trees and conifers can be called up from the extensive libraries and customized in terms of the growth phase and season, among other things. Unlike static plant models, the *Plant Object* enables individual configuration of the desired plant type and offers different growth variants. For example, the seasons can be switched as well as different growth and age variations. The leaf density can also be adjusted and the display qualities for the view or rendering can be influenced. > **Tip:** Note 1: > > The *Plant Object* is based on the *Laubwerk* plugin, which is an integral part of Cinema 4D as of C4D 2025.3.\ > If you have already purchased *Laubwerk* libraries in the past that are not currently part of the [Asset Browser](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/79839.html.md) in Cinema 4D or are not included in your subscription, these archives can still be loaded via the **Open** command in the Cinema 4D *File* menu. You will find further information [on these pages](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/FLBWIMPORT.html.md). > **Tip:** Note 2: > > As already known from other generators, the *Plant Object* can also be converted to a simple polygon object, e.g. by using the shortcut `C` or by callingTools>Convert>Make Editable. This means that all parametric properties are lost, but the plant can then be processed further using standard modeling commands, e.g. if branches are to be trimmed individually or roots added.
