You can navigate to and select the proxy file by using the folder icon to the right of this field. ![Image: subgroup.gif](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/subgroup.gif)\ Display ### Show Bounding Box Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_DISPLAY_BOUNDBOX` Toggles the display of the bounding box around the proxy object. ### Preview Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_DISPLAY_MODE` These options determine how the proxy will be displayed in the viewport. - **Off:** Completely hides the proxy from the viewport but the proxy will still render. - **Bounding Box:** Displays a simple axis-aligned bounding box encompassing all the objects in the associated file. - **Mesh:** Uses the geometry data directly from the file. | | | | | --- | --- | --- | | ![Image: C4D_Proxy_Offb7f0.png](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/_REDSHIFT_/Resources/Images/C4D_Proxy_Offb7f0.png) | ![Image: C4D_Proxy_Bounding_Box909c.png](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/_REDSHIFT_/Resources/Images/C4D_Proxy_Bounding_Box909c.png) | ![Image: C4D_Proxy_Mesh8f67.png](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/_REDSHIFT_/Resources/Images/C4D_Proxy_Mesh8f67.png) | | *Off* | *Bounding Box* | *Preview Mesh* | ### Preview Percentage Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_DISPLAY_PERCENTAGE` · Range: [0..100%] This option controls the percentage of the geometry data to display in the viewport when Display Mode is set to Preview Mesh. > **Note:** When *Display Mode* is set to *Preview Mesh*, the full resolution geometry contained in the Redshift Proxy File is used by default. For proxy files containing a lot of geometry, this can negatively impact the viewport rendering performance. For very geometrically dense proxies, we recommend leaving *Display Mode* to *Bounding Box,* using a Linked *Mesh*, or setting Display Percentage to a low value when using *Preview Mesh.* | | | | | --- | --- | --- | | ![Image: C4D_Proxy_Mesh8f67.png](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/_REDSHIFT_/Resources/Images/C4D_Proxy_Mesh8f67.png) | ![Image: C4D_Proxy_Mesh_507450.png](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/_REDSHIFT_/Resources/Images/C4D_Proxy_Mesh_507450.png) | ![Image: C4D_Proxy_Mesh_104477.png](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/_REDSHIFT_/Resources/Images/C4D_Proxy_Mesh_104477.png) | | *Display Percentage: 100*

See the section [Overriding Proxies](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/_REDSHIFT_/html/Overriding%2BProxies.html.md) for additional details. ### Prefix Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_MATERIAL_PREFIX` This field specifies the prefix to look for when using the "Scene (Match by name and prefix)" material replacement mode. ### Proxy Materials Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_MATERIAL_LIST` ### Proxy Textures Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_MATERIAL_TEXTURES` These fields will list all materials and textures used within the linked proxy file. ![Image: subgroup.gif](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/subgroup.gif)\ Overrides ### Object ID Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_OVERRIDE_OBJECTID` ### Tesselation and Displacement Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_OVERRIDE_TESSELATION_DISPLACEMENT` ### Visibility and Matte Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_OVERRIDE_VISIBILITY_MATTE` ### Object Exclusions / Trace-Sets Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_OVERRIDE_TRACESETS` ### User Data Parameter ID: `REDSHIFT_PROXY_OVERRIDE_USERDATA` These checkboxes control whether the corresponding attributes of the objects inside the proxy file should be overridden by the same attributes of the proxy placeholder object. For example, if you want to assign an Object ID of 5 to the contents of a proxy file, you would set the Object ID of the placeholder object to 5 and enable the Object ID override.
