# Forger File Transfer

### Announce Service to Local Network

Parameter ID: `PREFS_SERVICE`

This option must be enabled if you want to establish a connection with the Forger app - which must be located in the same network. You can then directly exchange objects between Forger and Cinema 4D. Details regarding file exchange can be found in the Preferences menu: [Forger Import](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/FFORGERIOLOADER.html.md) and [Forger Export](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/FFORGERIOSAVER.html.md), respectively.

### Allow Sharing of MyMaxon Username

Parameter ID: `PREFS_SHAREUSERNAME`

Enable this option if you want to display the MyMaxon user name in the Forger app. This is not necessary in order to establish a connection and only serves to hold back unnecessary data.
