# Take

> This page documents the properties of a **Take** as shown in the Take Manager of **Cinema 4D**. The Take system stores scene variations — different cameras, render settings or object states — in one file, which is useful for versioning shots and client options without saving separate projects.

Several properties from selected Takes are displayed in the **Take Manager's** attribute section. These can be modified directly in the Take Tree with the exception of the **Notes** setting.

You can also use the context menu, which should already be familiar to you from the **Attribute Manager**.
