# Clump

> This page describes the **Clump tool** in **Cinema 4D**. It bends selected guides toward their common center, optionally with twist — creating the strand clumps that make hair, fur and wet looks appear natural rather than uniformly distributed.

Use this tool to create Clumps with selected guides by **bending** the guides to their common center. Guides must be selected before applying this tool. A clump can also be twisted into itself. The strength can be regulated interactively by clicking and dragging the mouse in the Viewport.
