## Options

### Along

Parameter ID: `HAIR_SCALE_TYPE`

Select the direction in which the guides should be scaled:

Root

The guides will be scaled in the direction of the guide root segments.

Normal

The guides will be scaled in the direction of the surface Normals at their root.

World

The guides will be scaled equally and proportionally.

### Relative

Parameter ID: `HAIR_SCALE_RELATIVE`

### Percent

Parameter ID: `HAIR_SCALE_PERCENT` · Range: [0..+∞%]

### Absolute

Parameter ID: `HAIR_SCALE_ABSOLUTE` · Range: [0..+∞m]

If **Relative** is active, the guides will be scaled as a percentage of their actual size. If **Relative** is not active, the guides will be scaled as an absolute value (**Absolute**) in **normal** Cinema 4D units of measure.
