# Set Object

> This page describes the **Set Object tool dialog** in **Cinema 4D**, shown in the Attribute Manager's Tool mode when an object is placed in the sky. Only its File parameter is functional, used to assign the corresponding file to the placed object.

When placing an object in the sky, a tool dialog will be displayed in the Attributes Manager (if the **Attribute Manager** has the Tool mode defined). Of the parameters shown, only the File parameter can be used.
