# Redshift Object Tag

> This page documents the **Redshift Object tag** in **Cinema 4D**. Comparable to the Compositing tag but for the Redshift renderer, it controls per-object visibility, ray flags and displacement tessellation, and enables rendering of splines, volumes and particles.

The *Redshift Object Tag* is similar to the Cinema 4D *Compositing Tag*, but can also control tessellation for displacement as well as rendering splines, volumes and particles with Redshift.
