> This page describes the **Bump Blender node** of the Redshift renderer in **Cinema 4D**. It layers up to four bump, normal or round-corners inputs into one displacement vector — combining, for example, large dents with fine surface noise.

## Introduction

This shader allows you to combine the results of up to 4 [bump, normal](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/COM_REDSHIFT3D_REDSHIFT4C4D_NODES_CORE_BUMPMAP.html.md) and [round corners](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/COM_REDSHIFT3D_REDSHIFT4C4D_NODES_CORE_ROUNDCORNERS.html.md) shader nodes.

The output of this shader is a displacement vector, which when attached to the material bump-map input will result in a perturbed normal.

> **Note:** We recommend when using regular [height-field bump maps](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/COM_REDSHIFT3D_REDSHIFT4C4D_NODES_CORE_BUMPMAP.html.md), you pre-blend the texture input, which is more accurate and more flexible than using this node to do blending *after* generating the bump.
