# Vector Abs

> **Note:** **What is it about?**
>
> This page describes the **Vector Abs node** of the Redshift renderer in **Cinema 4D**. It makes every vector component positive — useful when processing normals or directions where only magnitude per axis matters.

Every component of the *Input* vector will be returned as a positive value. For example, the vector (-1, 0, 1) will be returned as (1, 0, 1).
