# glTF Import settings

> **Note:** **What is it about?**
>
> This page documents the **glTF import settings** in **Cinema 4D**. They control loading of .gltf files with linked binary data — bringing web- and engine-ready assets into the scene, with noted extension limits.

The Cinema 4D glTF Importer can read the \*.gltf format incl. additional linked \*.bin, \*glbin or \*.glbuf files.

Extensions such as Draco Compression, LightsPunctual etc. are not supported.

> **Tip:** Note: If you find that objects with separated polygons have been imported, please connect them with the [Optimize](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/5674.html.md) command .
