# Override Operator

This Node can work with any file type and outputs a predefined value for the respective [Take](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/54507.html.md).

In the example above, various numerical values are fed in and are output for the active Take.

If this method is used to override settings (the Y Custom Initial Velocity of a Rigid Body in the example above), this setting does not have to be manually set to override (right-click on the ,Override’ setting or drag into the **Take Manager**). However, these will then not be listed in the **Take Manager**.
