> This page describes the **Radial Field node** of the Scene Nodes system in **Cinema 4D**. It sweeps the field strength around an axis like an angular gradient — ideal for clock-hand or pie-slice-shaped effects.

This Field's structure is based on a radial progression on a plane that is perpendicular to the selected **Index**. As with a color gradient, for example, there is always a line at which the minimum and maximum Field Strengths meet. In-between there is a value transition that progresses radially and is calculated linearly. The distance between the defined **Index** doesn't play a role for the calculation of the Field Strength.
