# Geoposition on Sphere

> **Note:** **What is it about?**
>
> This page documents the **Geoposition on Sphere node** of the Scene Nodes system in **Cinema 4D**. It converts latitude and longitude into a full position-and-orientation matrix on a sphere — placing markers or objects accurately on globes.

This Node calculates a matrix that includes the position and orientation of a location on a sphere, that is given by latitude and longitude angles.

Given Latitudes and Longitudes get converted to a 3D position on a sphere.
