# Geoposition on Sphere

> **Note:** **What is it about?**
>
> This page covers the **Geoposition Circle Distance node** of the Scene Nodes system in **Cinema 4D**. It computes the great-circle distance between two points on a sphere — measured along the surface, as needed for flight routes and globe visualizations.

The Node calculates the shortest distance between two given positions on a sphere. That resulting distance is always measured along the surface of the sphere.
