## Inputs

### Geometry

Parameter ID: `GEOMETRYIN`

Here you can input the geometry into the Node on which you want to modify the point positions.

### Selection

Parameter ID: `SELECTION`

The function can be restricted directly to selected points or edges, which you can connect here. You can also use a polygon selection. The points on the outer edges of this polygon selection will then be modified.

### Mode

Parameter ID: `MODE`

Here you can select the element type to be used as the active selection of geometry, connected selection or manually as selection string.

### Selection String

Parameter ID: `SELECTIONSTRING`

Here you can, for example, use the name of a selection in quotation marks that you want to read out, e.g., *"MySelection"*. Otherwise, the *default* entry will use an active selection on the geometry.

You can also use special keywords and logical operations here to create a new selection from scratch or a combination of already saved selections. The following keywords and operations can be used:

- *Default*: This term causes an active selection currently present on the geometry to be used. If no selection is active, all points will be used.
- *odd*: This term is used to select all elements that have an odd index number.
- *even*: This term is used to select all elements that have an even index number.
- *all*: This selects all elements of the selected type.
- *hidden*: Selects the hidden elements of the geometry.
- *Name of a saved selection*: If you enter the name of a saved selection in quotation marks, this selection will be read and used. To use a combination of a saved selection and another keyword or selection, use quotation marks with the selection name.
- *Index numbers*: You can also use index numbers directly, just as you are used to from the Index Array From String Node.
- *Mathematical and logical operations*: Mathematical or logical operations can be used to combine selections. Using the string *odd – "center"* for instance selects all odd elements and then subtracts the selection that has been stored by the name *"center"*. You can use +, -, & (logical and), | (logical or) as well as a comma to combine multiple selections or index sequences.

### Strength

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_WEIGHT` · Range: [0..100%]

This is the intensity of all effects calculated by the Node. If set to 0%, the geometry will remain unchanged.

### Roundness

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_ROUNDNESS` · Range: [0..100%]

Lets you control the intensity of the point shift. If set to 100%, the points will be positioned in a perfect circle, if set to 0%, the points will remain at their original location. The overall effect can also be adjusted using the *Strength* setting. Furthermore, the following options and settings also make it possible to scale and rotate the point group even if these have a rounding of 0% at their original position.

### Absolute Radius

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_ABSOLUTERADIUS`

This is only a toggle switch for the following value. If *Absoluter Radius* is disabled, the radius can be defined proportionally via the *Size* value. The basis of this percent value is the averaged circle diameter made up of the position of the original points.

With the *Absolute Radius* option turned on, you get access to an absolute *Radius* value that can be used to directly enter the size of the circle for placing the points.

### Scale

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_SCALE` · Range: [0..+∞%]

If *Absoluter Radius* is disabled, the desired circle size in percent can be defined here. The percent value refers to the calculation of an averaged radius made up of the original position of the points to be moved.

### Radius

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_RADIUS` · Range: [0..+∞m]

If *Absolute Radius* is enabled, the desired circle size can be set here via an absolute radius value.

### Angle

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_ANGLE` · Range: [-∞..+∞°]

By default, the points are placed at the closest position on the circular path. By modifying the Rotation value, the points can be moved uniformly on this circle.

### Adjust Inner Points

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_ADJUSTINNERPOINTS`

This option ensures that points lying within the specified circle are only moved to a maximum of the circular path and not beyond.

### Project To Surface

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_PROJECTTOSURFACE`

This option ensures that when the radius or size value is increased, the newly placed points are not moved beyond the original bounding surfaces. This option also prevents the curvature of the original surface from being modified and that the moved points are only placed on a level circular path.

### Equal Spacing

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_PROJECTREGULAR`

This option ensures that the moved points are placed evenly on the circular path.

### Select Outline

Parameter ID: `NET_MAXON_COMMAND_MODELING_FITCIRCLE_SELECTOUTLINE`

The edges between the moved points are selected automatically. This is only relevant for the Point and Polygon *Type* setting.
