Here you link the geometry on whose surface the distribution is to be calculated.
This value indicates the perpendicular distance of the distribution to the surface of the geometry.
If active, the matrices of the distribution are aligned relative to the geometry surface. You additionally control the perpendicular axis direction for this alignment via the Up Vector menu.
If activated, the distribution will be limited to an active selection of polygons on the geometry.
If active, the values for Maximum Size and Minimum Size are used to calculate a randomized scale of the distributed matrices.
Here you set the amount of distribution points along the given geometry. These distribution points will then get filtered to match the Distance value. The final number of distributed matrices can therefore be lower than the Sample Count.
If scaling is active, use these values to specify the possible range of random sizes in the distribution.
Here you can define the radius around every distribution matrix in which no other matrix is placed. Set this radius at least as high as the radius of the distributed geometry to avoid overlaps in the cloned geometry.
This can be used to influence the ratio between large and small clones. Values in excess of 0% will produce more small clones and values below 0% to proportionally larger clones.
Use this value to reduce the original, more random placement of the distribution points and receive a more evenly spaced out distribution. Note that higher values may cause overlaps in the distribution points.
This value also affects the scaling (if Scale is active) and will use more larger distribution matrices to evenly fill up the available space.
This value is the basis for the random position and scale calculation of the distribution. A change of this value thus leads to a new variation of the distribution.
If Alignment is active, use this menu to select the reference direction of the alignment. You can choose to align the distributed matrices along the surface normals of the geometry or along the standard axis directions.
To limit the distribution on the surface of the geometry, you can link a polygon selection here.
