In addition to the aforementioned step rotations around the world axes, additional rotations can be defined using the Cumulative Step settings, which will lead to a curving of the placement direction. This makes it possible to use circular paths or spirals as placement paths. Two modes are available for defining how the rotation should take place:
- Single Value: Each matrix will be rotated in the defined direction compared to the previous matrix. Since subsequent matrices are positioned relative to this, uniformly curved paths can be created for the matrix placement.
- Cumulative: This mode makes the rotation of the matrices also dependent on the defined number of matrices. The index number of each matrix is used as a multiplier for the defined rotation angle, which will result in a step-wise increase in the rotation. This way, curves for the placing of matrices can also be used that have the shape of a snail's shell or logarithmic spirals.
Cumul. Step Ratio[-100000..100000%]
This percent value serves as a multiplier for the following cumulative matrix rotation and can therefore be used to invert, weaken or strengthen the result.
These values define the rotation angle used to create the curvature for the placement curve for the matrices. Depending on the Cumulative Mode defined, the rotation will be identical or with increasing intensity for each matrix.
