### Typ

Parameter ID: `PARAMETERSIN_SELECTIONTYPE`

In this menu you select the selection method. Depending on the function, further parameters then appear, e.g. to select the element type of the selection (points, edges or polygons).

The concrete settings of the selected method otherwise correspond to those of the separate selection nodes (see [Geometry Selection](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/80725.html.md)).
