## Field

### Type

Parameter ID: `FIELD_TYPE`

The Field type can be changed here. The settings will change accordingly in the Field menu. Any layer settings that were defined in the Field list, such as Remapping or color settings, will be maintained.

### Array Mode

Parameter ID: `ARRAYMODE`

By default, all inputs are populated with measurements one after another, so that you can, for example, feed all positions of clones or points sequentially into a field calculation without having to perform an iteration yourself. Enabling **Array Mode** changes this and instead returns an *Array Collection* containing all values, which you can unpack yourself (see [Iterate Collection](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/NET_MAXON_NODE_CONTAINERITERATION.html.md)). This also means that at the end of the calculations, you must output your results as an *Array Collection* as well (see [Assemble Collection](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/NET_MAXON_NODE_CONTAINER.html.md)).
