# Doodle Object

> **Note:** **What is it about?**
>
> This page describes the **Doodle object** in **Cinema 4D**. It stores the frame-based sketches drawn with the Doodle tools and offers extras like a HUD description field — the container through which viewport annotations are managed and displayed.

The **Doodle** object contains all doodles that have been created. Several other functions are also available, among them the **Description** text field that can be dragged & dropped into the Viewport as a [HUD](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/5593.html.md) to augment any doodles in the Viewport.

The Doodle object can be more-or-less hidden and unhidden using the Display tag's [Visibility](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/TDISPLAY-ID_TAGPROPERTIES.html.md) parameter.

> **Tip:** Tip:Make sure to delete any existing images and click on the **Remove Unused** button before saving presets (Object Manager: File / Save Object Preset) for the Doodle object.
