> **Note:** **What is it about?**
>
> This page describes the **Group Effector** in **Cinema 4D**'s MoGraph system. It bundles several Effectors into one reusable unit — proven combinations can then be assigned, weighted or retimed as a single element across different Cloners.

Three Effectors in one Group Effector.

The Group Effector is useful for grouping various Effectors that should be executed at a specific time via the **ReTime** function. If, for example, you have discovered an interesting or especially effective combination of a Step Effector and a Random Effector, you can group them in a Group Effector and assign the Group Effector to other objects as desired, without having to again assign the individual Effectors.

> **Tip:** Tip:Note that the job of the Group Effector can in large part be taken over by the [Fields](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/58091.html.md) functionality (in the example above, the same effect can be achieved using a Simple Effector in conjunction with a Shader, Step and Random Field).
