> This page covers the **PBorn node** of Thinking Particles in **Cinema 4D**. It is the lightweight particle source — fewer parameters than PStorm — typically combined with PSetData and position nodes for precisely controlled particle creation.

PBorn is a simplified version of the PStorm Node. It also create particles, but offers fewer parameters; because of this you will often use a PSetData mode, say, to give the position, velocity and so on of the particles. This Node will often be used in combination with the PSurfacePosition and PVolumePosition Nodes.

The basic setup for the PBorn Node. This example will create a sphere particle on the surface.
