# Center

> **Note:** **What is it about?**
>
> This page covers the **Center command** in **Cinema 4D**. It aligns selected objects (including children) within their common bounding box — centering or snapping them to its sides — a quick cleanup step when assembling or normalizing scenes.

This command centers objects in 3D space. It affects all the objects that are selected in the **Object Manager**. The selected objects’ children are also affected. CINEMA 4D calculates the size of the object group. Think of this as a three-dimensional cuboid which encloses the objects and imagine an axis system whose origin is at the center of this cuboid. This imaginary cuboid is important in understanding the alignment options.
