> **Note:** **What is it about?**
>
> This page covers the **Doodle tools** in **Cinema 4D**. Doodle Paint and Doodle Eraser draw frame-based sketches directly over the viewport — a practical way to plan animation arcs, leave visual review notes or block out timing, tablet pressure included.

The following pages contain a description of the **Doodle Paint** and **Doodle Eraser** tools. Both tools function in much the same way - this is why they, for the most part, have the same parameters.

- Doodle Paint tool: Use this tool to paint
- Doodle Eraser tool: Use this tool to remove all or part of a Doodle

Press the Shift key when drawing to draw straight lines.

If you use a graphics tablet the pressure applied to the pen will affect each tool in its coverage, size and hardness.
