## Modifiers

### Enable Modifiers

Modifiers can be used to supplement the effect of several brushes. For example, a **Smooth**ing effect can be added to the **Knife** (as shown above).

### Smooth/Strength

This enables a mesh function that works as described under [Smooth](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/TOOLSCULPTBRUSHRELAX.html.md). The **Strength** value can be used to adjust the function steplessly.

Tip:The Grab brush only offers the **Smooth** modifier.

### Pull/Strength

This option enables the Pull function described under [Draw](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/TOOLSCULPTBRUSHPULL.html.md). The **Strength** value can be used to adjust the function steplessly.

### Pinch/Strength

This option enables a pinching effect that works in the direction of the brush’s center, perpendicular to the direction of the stroke, as described under [Pinch](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/TOOLSCULPTBRUSHPINCH.html.md). The **Strength** value can be used to adjust the function steplessly.

### Inflate/Strength

This option enables a function whose effect works in the direction of the Normals, as described under [Inflate](https://help.maxon.net/c4d/en-us/Content/html/TOOLSCULPTBRUSHINFLATE.html.md). The **Strength** value can be used to adjust the function steplessly.
