## Shader Properties

### Color

Parameter ID: `CLOUDSHADER_COLOR`

The gradient determines the color of the clouds.

### U Frequency

Parameter ID: `CLOUDSHADER_SCALEX` · Range: [0.00..+∞]

### V Frequency

Parameter ID: `CLOUDSHADER_SCALEY` · Range: [0.00..+∞]

### Level

Parameter ID: `CLOUDSHADER_LEVEL` · Range: [0..100%]

U Frequency and V Frequency determine the fineness and shape of the structure. Thus U=1 and V=2 results in rather regular cloud structures, U=1 and V=0.25 gives rather rectangular clouds and the higher the value, the finer (less wispy) the clouds appear.

### Compatibility Mode

Parameter ID: `CLOUDSHADER_COMPATIBILITY`

The Compatibility Mode option ensures that scenes loaded from older versions of CINEMA 4D using this shader look the same.

> **Tip:** To create Cirrus-like clouds, use different values for U and V, such as 0.25 and 1 respectively.
