Basic Coord. ObjectFur
With the Fur Object you can quickly apply fur to an entire object. Using vertex maps you can even interactively paint hair direction and hair thickness directly onto an object.
Hair materials or (Hair) Render tags are applied directly to a polygonal object and hair is interpolated between (invisible) Guides. In contrast, each Fur hair is unique and will not be interpolated between Guides. The Fur Object can also be used very effectively for creating lawns.
