Autokeying

Autokeying is a special recording mode that saves you from having to manually click on the record button. All changes made to a given item will be automatically saved when made. The changes will be saved as defined in the Animation Palette. All you have to do is move the Timeslider to the desired time in the animation and change an item’s parameters. Keys will be created automatically. When in this mode, the editor view will be framed in red.

Autokeying requires a corresponding animation Track for recording objects.

If, for example, you want to autokey the position of a cube, you can, for example, first click on the Record button that will create a keyframe, including a Track:

Again, the exception proves the rule: for PLA animations, for example, this works without an existing Track.
