Value Key

Each key has a variety of properties that basically define which value it contains for the animation track, at which time in the animation it’s located and numerous interpolation settings that define changes in values to it or to the next key.

Key properties that can be animated smoothly are described below.

Many key properties can pretty much be used as modes, i.e., you set the interpolation properties and move the keys interactively in the F-Curve mode, whereby the tangents will behave accordingly. The tangents of a selection of multiple keys can be edited simultaneously, whereby each key will abide by its individual settings.

The following options (and several more) are also available in the Timeline’s Key menu as commands. These properties can quickly be activated / deactivated for selected keys using the corresponding keyboard shortcuts.
