Layer Controls
In the selection menu you will find for each entry the Constant option. As the name suggests, a constant value (100%) will be applied, which will be converted. This is designed in particular for the Alpha channel: imagine a Vertex Color tag that is fed with an alpha value of 0% - you would see nothing. Constant ensures that 100% is applied.
Value
Here, the output of the value channel’s channel converter can be defined. In the selection menu you will find the output values to be converted, including their individually selectable source components. In the example above, this would be the Spherical Field - of course any Field constellation can be placed here.
Color
Here you can define if individual color, direction or rotation components should be converted. If so, define Channels. If Direct is defined, only whole vectors will be converted in one another.
If Color Channels is set to Direct, you can define here the channels from which a color should be generated.
If Color Channels is set to Channels, the color can be comprised from the channels or components of the sub-field.
The Alpha channel can also be converted from other channels or components.
Direction
Here you can define if individual color, direction or rotation components should be converted. If so, define Channels. If Direct is defined, only whole vectors billl be converted in one another.
If Direction Channels is set to Channels, the direction can be comprised of the sub-field’s channels or components.
If Direction Channels is set to Channels, the angle can be comprised of the sub-field’s channels or components.
