Tags Menu
If you select this command, the selected tag will be copied to all child objects of the active object.
If a child object already has a tag of the same type, its tag will be overwritten with that of the parent. There are several exceptions: all tags that are used multiple times such as the Material tag. This tag is still copied, but the child will keep its own tag as well (an object can have more than one Material tag).
Using this command, you can select like child tags.
For example, suppose you want to change the material used by a parent object and all its children. To do this the most efficient way, you first need to select all of these tags, and this command gives you a quick way to do this. Select the Material tag of the parent and choose the command to select the Material tags of the relevant children as well. You can now proceed to assign the new material to all the tags — drag the desired material from the Object Manager and drop it into the Material box on the Attribute Manager’s tag page.
