Annotation Tool

This tool can be used to interactively distribute Annotation tags in the Viewport (detailed information is available under Annotation tag).

Use

The Annotation tag is located in the main Tools menu. Select the tool and then click on the objects to which you want to assign an annotation. Please not the following:

• As long as the LMB is pressed, a round red cursor will appear above objects with geometry (as well as splines) that will snap to valid object points at which point its color will change to green. As soon as the mouse button is released, the annotation will be anchored to the respective point. Otherwise the annotation will be anchored to the object’s center point.
• If you also press the Cmd/Ctrl during the aforementioned procedure, the Annotation tag that is created will also be activated, which means that is can be modified immediately in the Attribute Manager.
• Pressing the Esc key on your keyboard will abort the process and not Annotation tag will be created.
