Volume Object
Volume objects are created, for example, if you:
- make a Volume Builder or a Volume Set editable
- import a *.vdb file
Each Volume Object represents an OpenVDB or Voxel grid set with a link to an external *.vdb file (which may first be generated when the scene is saved).
Tip:You can ascertain the Voxel scale of the imported Volume in the Coord tab’s Size settings. This can be useful when making the Volume object a Child object of a Volume Builder that uses the same Voxel size. This can speed up workflow because no new sampling needs to be done (as long as both grids are exactly the same).
